Ed Hersh is currently an adjunct at Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, where he is teaching an advanced course on the business of television. He is also the founder and chief creative officer of StoryCentric LLC, a New York-based company that provides insights on storytelling, execution, and media trends to both networks and content creators. Among his most recent projects are the development and launch of Blueprint America, a year-long PBS multi-platform initiative on America’s crumbling infrastructure.

Hersh founded the firm after seven years at Court TV (now truTV), most recently as executive vice president of Current Programming and Specials, where he was the executive in charge of the creative direction, execution and production of the network’s primetime original non-fiction documentaries, series and specials -- including Forensic Files, Dominick Dunne’s Power, Privilege and Justice, The Investigators and Stories of the Innocence Project -- during a period of unprecedented audience growth. In addition, he was responsible for Court TV Productions, the network’s in-house long-form production unit.

He will share valuable job hunting strategies in a shaky job climate and interview techniques that will make you stand out from the crowd!
